Etiquette- a fancy word for simple kindness.

Let the beauty of what you love
be what you do.
— Rumi

Please be mindful of your friends in class. For many, a one hour yoga practice is the only opportunity to disconnect from the chaos of the outside world and reconnect to the sacred space within. We ask that you honor this time, not just for others, but for yourself.

  • Doors will open 20 minutes before the scheduled start time. Please plan to arrive early. Grounding is an essential part of practice, and doors will be locked when class begins.

  • To avoid a late cancellation fee, please cancel reservations at least 4 hours in advance if you cannot attend. Inaccurate registration counts and ‘no-shows’ impact us all.

  • We kindly ask that you silence or power down electronic devices upon entering the studio and leave them in the storage cubbies with all other personal items.

  • No shoes in the practice space.

  • We love to connect with you, and we love providing a space for you to connect with one another. Please reserve your conversations for pre and post class times, so that others may attend with limited distractions.

  • Practice personal hygiene, and please limit the use of strongly-scented perfumes or lotions.

  • We ask that you leave your ego at the door. Yoga is never a competition, between each other or with ourselves. There are no prizes for a pose. Do what feels good for you, today, and let it go.

  • If you borrow one of our mats, please wipe it down with the provided essential oil spray.

  • Be kind. Always.

If there’s anything you wish to ask of us, anything that we can do to make your time and presence at Lotus Rising Yoga more enjoyable, please let us know.
